Remembrance Sunday is held in the UK and Commonwealth Nations as a day to commemorate the contribution of British and Commonwealth military and civilian servicemen and women in the two World Wars and in later conflicts. It is held on the second Sunday in November, which is near to 11th of November (being Armistice Day, the anniversary of the end of the First World War in 1918).
The Remembrance Poppies take centre stage in this design, surrounded by falling Poppy petals onto a silhouetted scene of war, covering each of the services with soldiers, parachutists, ships and a plane, with a field of poppies along the bottom edge of the design.
